In their first match on LAN since the DreamHack Winter triumph, fnatic have demolished dignitas with a 16-5 score on de_dust2.

The second match at DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Invitational in Stockholm, Sweden pitted fnatic against the new representatives of dignitas, the former Copenhagen Wolves lineup. Aside from being an organizational debut for the team, it was also a debut for their new member Rene "cajunb" Borg who replaced Nicolaj "Nico" Jensen earlier this year.

Markus "pronax" Wallsten was left with the choice between de_dust2 and de_inferno in the map-veto process, and as it would turn out it was the right plan to opt for the former one.

dignitas started on the T-side though, and Borg's 1-on-2 clutch in the pistol round secured them an early lead, which extended to 3-0 after the anti-ecos.

Wallsten then called out an aggressive setup in the B tunnels which caught the Danes off guard, and fnatic was up on the scoreboard, 3-1.

A great defense on the A bombsite in the next round with perfect counter-flashes brought fnatic to 3-2, and forced dignitas on an eco.

flusha continued with his DH Winter form

With the score even at 3-3, Nicolai "device" Reedtz looked to have surprised fnatic by flanking them and creating a 3-on-1 situation, but Andreas "schneider" Lindberg was composed and he kept his opponents from planting the bomb until time expired, giving fnatic a 4-3 lead.

Another very close round where Wallsten was left alone in a 1-on-2 at the A site went to the Swedes, as he stuck to his defuse while dignitas members were unable to hit him from long range, extending the lead to 6-3.

It was all fnatic from then on, starting with a 3-kill round by Robin "flusha" Ronnquist and a number of perfectly executed retakes and setups, allowing dignitas only to take the 14th round after another aggressive B-tunnels setup, ending the half with an 11-4 score.

JW's 14 AWP kills gave fnatic a big advantage

Some hope for the Danes still existed after they took the second pistol round as well, but fnatic wouldn't let them get the momentum back, so they bought what they could and entered and somehow held onto the B bombsite.

The last gasps from the Danes didn't work out either, even after Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen made two entry kills in round 20.

With match point for fnatic, dignitas once again got the first two entry kills courtesy of Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, but it wasn't enough to stay in the match as Jesper "JW" Wecksell got the 1-on-2 clutch to secure the 16-5 win.
